Explore Munch x Rejina Pyo

"Exploring the archives at Munch Museum was an extraordinary journey—immersing myself in pieces that had never been exhibited, I was struck by the vastness and depth of Munch’s work. His lifelong dedication to art and his ability to express raw human emotions, particularly through his portraits, deeply resonate with me and have profoundly influenced both my design practice and creative vision. Visiting his home and the landscapes that shaped his art was deeply moving, almost like stepping into his world. In honor of his incredible legacy, I wanted to translate his exquisite techniques and evocative color palettes into something tangible for modern life, creating special objects that allow us all to carry a piece of his spirit with us. The scarves, in particular, were a joy to create—sculpting shapes and painting in a manner similar to Munch's woodcut technique felt like a dialogue between his past and the present, bringing his artistry into the everyday."

This partnership blends art and fashion, reinterpreting Edvard Munch’s legacy through a limited-edition capsule collection. Drawing inspiration from Munch’s expressive brushstrokes, bold colour palettes, and deeply personal subjects, each piece speaks to his enduring influence.

The collection features silk scarves with hand-painted designs inspired by Munch’s woodcut technique, a molten jewellery series capturing the emotion of his paintings, and a portrait mirror, handcrafted in patinated steel, echoing the painted borders found in Munch’s iconic works.

Available online and in-store at the National Portrait Gallery, London; Munch Museet, Oslo; and Rejina Pyo’s flagship store. Link to explore the collection on stories.
