Supper with Rejina Pyo

Supper with Rejina Pyo

Food is at its most delicious when shared - 음식은 나누어 먹을 때 더 맛있다

We hosted an intimate supper at our Upper James St store in Soho during London Fashion Week to kickstart our upcoming series of supper clubs for our community. Guided by Rejina, guests learned how to make their own bibimbap - the ubiquitous Korean mixed rice bowl. A chance to connect with the Rejina Pyo community is always special, and this supper club was an inspiring creation of collective involvement.

All the food was cooked by Rejina’s husband, chef and broadcaster Jordan Bourke, who learned his craft from some of the most respected chefs and food producers in Korea. Each step of the meal paid homage to Rejina’s home country: bronze bowls (bangjja 방짜) traditionally used for royal cuisine, artisan mulberry paper (hanji 한지) as table decor, soju cocktails made with yuzu and lime, and to finish, a traditional Korean honey, ginger and cinnamon cookie (yakgwa 약과). Rich in history, these details complemented an event filled with exchanged customs and shared stories.

We look forward to hosting again soon!
