Textile Design Intern
Our Textile Design Student Work Placement opportunity will provide you with a great opportunity for students undertaking their industry work placement to learn how every department of a young fashion design label works in a very practical process. You will be reporting to the Fabric Developer. Please note our Textile Design internships run for 3 months with the possibility of being extended to 6 months.
What you will be doing:

Working on colourway options, repeats, print placements, layouts, artworks for fabric developments, using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Cataloging and filing fabrics for upcoming seasons

Researching fabrication ideas

Print/fabric research and analysis
-
Supporting Fabric Developer for fabrication development and prints.

Organising and categorising fabrics and prints
-
Showroom and show preparations
-
Assisting to create artwork for print and other textile applications
-
Liaising with other team members involved in the studio process

Assisting with general studio admin day-to-day
-
Working with the Design & Development team to meet deadlines
Students skills required:
-
Currently studying a Textile/Print or Design degree

Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
-
Some understanding of fabric characteristic is desired but not essential

Proven ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
-
Proactive and able to take initiative
-
Excellent eye for details and print design
