A photographic Series by Kerry J Dean alongside a selection of Korean Obejcts

Material Contrasts

Photographing women in Rejina Pyo within the city’s overlooked and everyday spaces, Dean moves between close portraiture, off-centre composition and documentary observation. Shuttered storefronts, tiled walls, pavements and fragments of urban architecture become part of each image, revealing Seoul through its people, surfaces, colour and unexpected visual relationships.

Alongside the photographs, a selection of objects collected and curated from Korea brings another perspective to the exhibition. Chosen for their material and cultural resonance, the pieces create a dialogue between place, memory and everyday life.

Together, the photographs and objects offer two distinct perspectives on Korea: one observed in the present, the other gathered over time.

Limited-edition prints are available online and in store, each signed and accompanied by a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.
