About Rejina Pyo
Rejina Pyo was born in Seoul, where she lived until moving to London in 2008. After graduating from the MA Fashion Design programme at Central Saint Martins in 2011, Pyo was presented with the prestigious Han Nefkens Award for her final collection. Pyo launched her eponymous label ‘Rejina Pyo’ in 2013, with offices based in London and Seoul.
Pyo has gained international recognition for her work, having featured in high-profile exhibitions around the world and been the recipient of a number of awards including the Samsung Fashion Design Fund and the British Fashion Award for Emerging Talent - Womenswear.
Rejina draws inspiration from different art forms - sculpture, paintings, photographs, installations, and films. She is also inspired by the places and events around her, travel and culture and new experiences . Rejina also draws inspiration from the amazing women around her, each with interesting stories and a strong point of view on the world. One of Rejina’s main strengths as a designer is distilling conceptual/artistic ideas into distinct but wearable products. Rejina’s design aesthetic is defined by its unique approach to colour, sculptural silhouettes and unconventional textures.
